(PVH), a global solar tracking and energy solutions provider, has earned the Zero Waste to Landfill validation, reporting a 98.36% recycling rate across its operations.
鈥淪ustainability is a fundamental pillar of our corporate strategy,鈥 said Rodolfo Bitar, VP of business development at PV Hardware. 鈥淓arning the Zero Waste to Landfill certification is not only a validation of our waste management practice 鈥 it’s a reflection of our broader mission to reduce environmental impact and lead the industry toward a cleaner future.鈥
PVH is trying to work toward a circular economy by reducing, reusing and recycling materials used in its operations, increasing the value of resources while minimizing waste. Through waste segregation, traceability and close collaboration with specialized suppliers and waste management partners, PVH has successfully recycled 98.36% of total waste at the company, sending only 1.24% to be landfilled. The remaining 0.4% of waste was processed through other sustainable recovery methods.
Additionally, PVH is working to reduce its Scope 3 carbon emissions. Waste management plays a role in lowering greenhouse gas emissions and promoting long-term environmental sustainability. The certification verifies a tangible reduction in CO鈧 emissions and creates value from what would otherwise be waste.
PVH conducts regular environmental audits, waste management programs and works with supply chain parters to meet sustainability goals.
鈥淭his certification is a significant step forward, but it鈥檚 just the beginning,鈥 Bitar said. 鈥淎t PVH, we believe every action counts. Together, we are working toward a zero-waste future because sustainability is not just a goal, it鈥檚 a responsibility.鈥
